May 7 is craft day with Tracy and PLEASE NOTE the START TIME is now 9:30am at the church. Also, Please let me know if your children are coming May 7!
May 1 is Mission Sunday and the project we will collect money for (Free will offering for the luncheon) is called “Provide Hope for the Future”- a project of PWS&D – we will send the money for school supplies for the Ukraine. We would like the children to make and color a picture at home about a school theme- they can draw and color school supplies, their school, what school means to them, etc.,to bring in and we will display for May 1. They can bring in the pictures this weekend if they will not be here May 1 or bring May 1.
The Senior Youth, this past week talked about working as a team effectively at home, at school, with their sport teams and in the church. We recognize that good team work can produce great things. You are invited to become “a part of the team” to make these angels/warriors and help raise funds to support widows, orphans, pregnant women and families stricken with HIV/AIDS
Tea & Coffee provided / muffins or snacks accepted with smiles! Come alone (& meet some new friends) OR…….Bring a friend !! Just hang out next Saturday morning and make some creative one-of-a- kind angels/warriors with my new found angel making friend, Judy. All angel materials will be supplied.
We will have a “guys table ” too so the Calvin males can get involved and show us their Warrior making skills. The angels/warriors that we make can be taken by my angel friend, Judy, to be sold to support African Aids or we can leave a tree up at the church for us to sell some of these angels in support of African Aids.
If you wish you can bring: sharp scissors, a glue gun (if you have one), an extension cord (to plug glue guns into).
Judy is always looking for donations of: old bling bling jewelry, material scraps (especially thick & textured), fabric sample books.
This is a morning of fun, fellowship and mass production as we make these wonderful angels/ warriors for a worthy cause. Any of the angels that we/you make can be purchased at the time for a suggested price of $7/angel or whatever $$ donation you wish to give. You do not have to be crafty at all to make these!! Just come for fun!
